We are very excited about the upcoming year in Seminary - New Testament. We promise a Spirit-filled year as we study the life and teachings of the Savior and His early apostles.
Because of the large number of students, we will have two classes beginning in August. Sister Raynor will teach the Freshmen/Sophomore class in the RS room and Sister Lee will teach the Junior/Senior class in the Primary room.
There are a few things we'd like you to do this summer in preparation for next year. They are:
1) Highlight all the Scripture Mastery verses in your copy of the New Testament (the one you'll be using in class)2) Write the keywords/phrases next to the Scripture Mastery verses.
3) Highlight all the JST (Joseph Smith Translation) footnotes in your copy of the New Testament.
4) Read any one of the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John)
The total time necessary for all this is approximately 8-10 hours. An hour each Sunday ought to do it.
Everyone who completes these four summer assignments by the first week of August will be invited to a special luncheon/dinner hosted by Sisters Lee and Raynor. (And we're pretty good cooks!)Enjoy your summer! Call us with any questions you have.
